fwiw, I had the TR 248/254 .615/.623 cam in my 403 Stroker and it drove Amazing on the street. Honestly, it drove about like a low to mid 230's duraton cam in an LS1. I have no complaints about it. Not to mention my car had Stock LS6 heads on it other than .650 lift Patriot Dbl. Springs. I got my car to run a high 10 second ET with a 1.659 60' in a 3440# car.
However, I say to go with at least this cam or larger. But a custom grind will be much better IMHO.

Good Luck

My suggestion is the Fast 90 is a major. We've just started tuning my 416 with a cam similar to your builder recommendations, initially it was run in with a ported Fast 102 & a ported 90MM TB only to 5600 rpm. When the 102MM TB was installed at that same rpm the torque gains were somewhere in the 25ftlb area. The air intake was changed at the same time also, the only two changes.

I'd go with a Comp cam ground with LSL or LSK lobes or both. As long as you have the valvetrain for those lobes a cam with specs of 24x./25x. 62x./63x. on a 111+2 or 112+2 would be the way to go.

spoke with texas speed and gave them a full rundown of my setup and recommended me to go with a custom cam
250/260, .621/.625, 113 LSA 110 ICL, 1.7 Rocker Ratio
I do also plan on spraying a 200-250 shot and this cam will scream on the bottle! what do you guys think?

Looks like a very nice cam and should make GREAT Power.
The cubes will soak up some of that cam, So it might actually be pretty easy to drive in town as well. Now on the bottle, It'll be STUPID.
Good Luck.
Keep us posted!
