Great combo and results. Your engine is similar to mine (https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...-714hp-na.html) so this thread made for an interesting read. If I had gone with your cubes/bore I would have stepped up to LS7 heads I think.

Now go make some passes!

Hey Sean, thanks for shearing your build, those numbers are awesome, and the build very interesting, i think you made real good, of the carb, and carb intake set up, it proofs that the old squirt, still rules.
As for me is a street car, and no more hood scoop on the street, so that limited my options. That said, I'm happy tho...

Track numbers next......

That FAST intake wasn't even avaialble when I was ordering parts, but it would be an interesting comparison now.

Good luck at the track!

Me too, thanks for your post, that's a very nice pass, by the way, congrats on your accomplishments and results, nice goat too, like to see your engine bay...
Track times coming soon....I have no kind of readiness for the track at all, if i show up now, no roll bar, no battery switch, no window net, just the drive shaft loop, is all i have, i think i do best, to wait for a track rental day.

No i have a local porter that will be doing it, will take the intake apart and scribe the bottom plate to make the ports up with the heads then port the intake out to make up

we did it this way on my last two motors and have picked up 1-2 mph and .2 from porting last time

you ported yours?

Yea last time it took us a day to get it done and all cleaned up. There is a lot to do in this to make them work good on a big motor. So im looking for some good pick ups from it

plus im still working on my tone can get the A/F to stay at 12.6 in third. Will drop back 11.8-11.9..
so i still have some work to do on that to. Going to try to get the porting done in two weeks

Should be fun getting it right...
