Default LQ4+L92 heads cam and intake?

Im getting an LQ4 soon and some l92 heads off of a G8 GT soon. What compression ratio will this give me (what octane fuel) and what cam should i get for it? Also, he might want to sell me his l76 intake. Would that be better than an LS3 intake or something?

It looks like an assembled ls3 intake can be had somewhat cheaply on ebay, minus the throttle body. This looked pretty interesting.
Also, cost is an issue so a cheap solution is preferable.

Thanks for the advice,
Nick

With this setup, your compression will be around 9.7:1
No octane issues.... 91 will be fine

For cam selection, enjoy reading this thread

For LS3 vs L76 intake, have a look on these threads

+1 on the above post.

If you are looking to get the most out of that engine, pay the 25.00 and get a custom cam spec'd for your particular application. I'm running pretty much the same setup that you're asking about, and I will be installing my cam, longtubes, trans, etc starting next week some time. I'm looking for 400+rwhp in the end with a relatively mild cam.

Thanks a lot guys. I was your cam custom specced by comp cams or someone?
Also, for 9.7 to 1, is 91 octane a requirement? Could it run 87?

Mine was spec'd by Pat G, and cut by Geoff @EPS, (really comp cams, but who's couting)

anyone have any numbers? i think the dished pistons would take nitrous better than the flat top ones on my LS1.

With l92 heads and a .040 inch head gasket I'll be at 9.9:1.
