Thanks Brent. Hope to meet up this summer at a mid-way event and check out your sick build.

I had a setback. The cxracing surge tank I was using has a few pinhole leaks in the welded seam. It's not a big leak, but it's seeping. I'm not sure how they will respond to an issue so long after I bought it.

Moral of the story: Inspect (and pressure test in this case) every part you buy when you receive it.

I ordered a new tank and went with a true swirl pot:

Hopefully that arrives soon...although I am sensing a bit of fuel line rerouting and replacing will come with it.

Paged through the threads...didn't see seat pics. Are the seats shells that need work or do they come padded & covered. Great build. Thanks for posting the build thread. I hope to build an SLC, as well.

Just read all 11 pages and all I can say is WOW. You sir are a very talented (well, multi-talented) person to be doing this all yourself. Whereabouts in NJ are you? I HAVE to see this thing when its done...

Why not also copy this thread to the conversions/hybrids area. Many who don't go into the Gen IV engine area would very much enjoy the build.

I have shells. Fran does have padded covers available for the shells and some new more street oriented seats under development.

It's an incredible kit.

Thank you for the nice words. I'll let you know when I take it to a NJ event.

Good suggestion. It did turn out to be a build thread. I'm not sure how to do that though.

Great work man! This might be a stupid question, but will this car end up being street legal (please excuse me if I missed this in a previous part of the thread)?

It's been a while since I've updated this thread, but a lot has happened.

I had the intake manifold powdercoated black to match the valve covers and engine roll bars:

Redid the cooling system piping:

It's in the process of being rewired, so the the fans were jumped to get it on the dyno for idle, and drivability tuning:

Sounds nice a mellow Roberto.

I am looking forward to your results. I should call you soon, I have a thought that may help out in the future if you even need it.

Hope to hear the same thing shortly here in Canada.

Wheels: yes this build is 99% for the street.

No wot pulls yet.

We didn't make the dyno yesterday. The dyno shop is moving to a bigger building this week and they are packing up.

Awesome car. Not sure if this was mentioned but there is a show on ESPN "Stacy David's Gearz" and they are building one of these cars. Your's looks awesome and having that motor. I can't even imagine.
