Here we go again!!! Love the new car. Is there "room" for a/c? Roll down windows?

Thanks. AC/heat comes with the kit. No roll down windows, but I have the removable lower glass option.

amazing!!!

If I had a little bit more welding and chassis knowledge, this would be my dream project.

Hi Roberto,

Carbon fiber always look cool...nonetheless those air box are looking more the size of what we use on a 1600cc, maybe a tiny small to me for the power level you are expecting, just a assumption.

Two scenarios where an ITB is worthless:
- when the engine is breathing the warmed air from under the hood
- when the air box are restrictive (damaging power and engine behavior)

It might worth it to test on the engine dyno with and without the air boxes, but I am sure that it is an item in your R&D.

I'd have to agree with you to a point, he has what 52mm throttle bodies x8 then 2x 4.5L CF plenums which then go to a what 90-100mm opening almost the same as going to a twin throttle set up 90-100mm x2.

if going off throttle opening area you have gone from 52mm x 8 =416mm
down to 90-100 x 2 = 180-200mm

This intake will certainly breath better than a fast 102 for example but there is still alot being lost from having the ITB's.
You would probably make the same HP out of this if you ditched the ITB's and went to a twin throttle set up with those exact same CF plenums running twin 90-100mm throttle bodies.

Thanks, however you don't need any chassis or welding ability to build it. Just put it together by the book.

Hey Christian, I am with you and understand the limitations of itbs and minimizing airflow restrictions. I am not running itbs for max hp, but rather for the smooth idle/drivability they offer. I have no doubts it will dyno less with airboxes vs. without. The car will have custom air boxes made anyway. Not because of volume issues, but because the upright going over the motor interferes with the airbox a bit.

My research notes say the airboxes are 500ci of volume each. I have not measured it however.

i wouldn't mind seeing how it would perform if those air boxes were converted to be open and holding a flat panel air filter.
It looks do-able from the seem that is on the boxes.
That would breath much better than the 90-100mm opening and it would still be very very streetable.

How do the itb's opperate from the throttle cable? is it 1 cable then an extension cable to the other side.

WOW. Amazing. What kinda of transaxle is that? Does the roller come with the adapter for the transaxle?

thanks,

Lookin good Roberto.

I wanted one of those but there is no way in hell I would fit. Even the FF GTM is to small. So I have the FF Cobra instead.

you'll see a thread soon on a 454 harrop build from HKE.

Yes cable throttle with a 2nd cable bridging the other side.

Thanks. It's a Ricardo transaxle out of the 2005-2006 Ford Gt.

Thank you. The SLC is much larger inside than the GTM was. Did you sit in the SLC? Good choice on the Cobra, I always loved those. 2000 lbs with a HKE454...that's going to be ridiculous!

That engine looks quite menacing .... if only there were some way to make even more n/a power and lighten up the car to 2100lbs

if you actually calculate the area (pi*d^2/4) then the twin 100mm openings are within 20% of the area of the ITB's.

I painted my car yesterday. I custom mixed HOK kandy's and put a stripe on the hood. My camera cannot capture the depth of the Red. On some screens it looks orange, but it is a DEEP blood red candy. Lots of trial and error to get this color.

This is an hour after I finished painting last night:

Very nice! Was the base a goldish/copperish color?
