Meth/water is used in boosted engines to lower IAT's and combat detonation when using high boost on pump gas. I'm not an expert but have experience with it on diesels.

I'v heard of some hign n/a cars using meth to combat detonation. I get some knock on 93 with the compression my motor has. I wanted to see if this was a good alternative to running high octane gas, which it getting very expensive and hard to find all the time.

Have a manifold absolute referenced straight methanol, [no water] wish works, and is fully adjustable.
How it works? the more air the more meth it adds, and yes you can ran a lot more timing. ph #813-265-1400

ive been running it on myn/a '01SS. ran it with the stock (bolton) ls1 for a couple years. worked great with nitrous, helped with detonation too.

my favorite part was how clean it kept the engine. when i pulled the ls1 to sell, the intake/heads/valves were all spotless. no carbon or oil. it looked like the engine had a thousand miles on it.

not a problem man...its cool stuff!

i prefer to mix my own methanol/water vs people buying washer fluid. most home improvement stores sell a 100% methanol in their paint section for under $20/gallon which would make 2gal @ 50% you can always ask them to get a MSDS sheet to verify that its all methanol.

Some guys running NA meth systems on the vette forum with good results. Seems to work well. I am considering it for a new NA 427ci LS3 motor I'm building. Love the meth inj on my boosted Vette.. I'm using Julio's ALKY CONTROL system and plan to use his NA system on the new NA car

i have had great success with it, just need a real good controller otherwise you will be using alot of methanol at the wrong load ranges

How much power is meth worth on an NA setup with 500+whp? I always had the thought that if your car didn't make more power on 30 degrees of timing vs 28 degrees how would e85 or meth allow for more power?

its not worth it if you dont have a fair amount of compression, or for example you sit and idle in the staging lanes, mean while the intake heat soaks, but then once you nail it the meth cools everything off.... a few benefits..

methanol yes...but e85 is alot of extra work/parts/tuning for not much of an overall gain on an all motor car.
