Default Help with cam ID please

I can't seem to find this part number anywhere, and it's supposed to be an LS2 cam. The end of the cam says-

1721
3 16
1352

Any help identifying it would be appreciated!

The GM 1721 cams seem to have been used in several different motors. Here are the specs for the LQ4 and LQ9 versions. It would probably make a good lamp post.

1721 196/207 .457/.479 lsa 116

That is what I suspected. I mic'd the base circle on the cam and subtracted it from the widest part of the lobe to get the cam lobe lift, then multiplied it by the rocker arm ratio (1.7) to get a valve lift of .47x". Not the most precise way, but it's definitely nowhere near the .525 that it would be if it were an LS2 cam. I bought it from a member here and am still waiting for a reply from him, hopefully it was an honest mistake and he'll make it right.

I have an ls3 cam you can have for shipping if you want it. Similar to ls6 cam (same exhaust lobe, diff intake lobe), single bolt.

Man that would be awesome. Let me wait until this guy gets back to me, there's still a chance he really does have an LS2 cam and made an honest mistake. I will drop you a message later. Thanks!

What are you putting this in? No single bolt cam will work in anything other than a 58X motor.

Is 58x referring to the reluctor wheel? Sorry, I'm new to LS1's and have only played with sbc's until now. It's going in an LM7, so does that mean the LS3 cam will not fit?

Why not? Educate me. I dont see what the type of cam gear has to do with it? The reluctor wheel has nothing to do with the camshaft.

If you have a 58X reluctor, you have to have a 4X cam gear. All single bolt cams use the 4X gear. The reluctor wheel and cam gear have a lot to do with each other. This link has a pic of the different cam gears and reluctor wheels.
