Jason,

With the 13* valve angle would the valve reliefs in "Off the shelf" flat top pistons still work?

Thanks!

Mike, keep us posted on what you decide to do. I am in the same boat as you with similar mods and wondering about these heads vs. ported stock LS3 heads.

I'm sure they're busy as hell...and with the holidays I won't be surprised if it is a while before I hear much from them. I dunno. Maybe I should work on my other car.

I'm ready to order these this evening. I just don't know how much to have them milled?

Putting them on a LS2 with mild cam.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

We'd need a bit of information about your short-block and the "mild" cam to recommend milling specs for you. Feel free to give me a call and we can run the number and get your order going!

MATT @ Texas- Speed

Any Cam recommendations yet for the stock bottom end LS3? I will be ready to order as soon as I am confident in my cam, head gasket and combustion chamber size. Just not enough info yet.

Are the different CC combustion chambers accomplished by milling on these new cylinder heads?

thanks

Cam recommendations will depend a lot on what you want out of your car. We currently offer 3 different cams specifically for the LS3 cars that have worked well for us. Give us a call and we can go through them to see what will fit your build best.

These castings are made with a 68cc chamber to start, but smaller chambers can be had through milling.

Werent those cams developed for the ls3 with stock cylinder heads and or ported stock? I would think with the new design of your heads this would change things a bit?

What I want out of my car?...... fairly aggressive street/strip with decent drive-ability. I am not very picky. Drive the car 5-7 k a year and only in the summer.

Thinking something slightly more aggressive than your 231/236. Would like to take advantage of the extra p to v clearance.

Hello @ Texas- Speed

Are you going to make a large bore version of these LS3 heads ????(like Mast do) with bigger valves and flow numbers similar to your LS7 heads.

For those people who have larger engines, and would like to retain the ls3 ports but need the flow of your LS7 heads it would be a good option and a lot cheaper than the Mast Big Bore LS3 heads.
