Id say they need WAY more than 60 wheel to make it a close race, they weigh like 3800 lbs..Your car being a z51 prolly weighs 32XX, mine is 3120 with no one it it. I would say it would take him making 550 or more to beat you on motor...

You realize the 505 hp that that was made to hold for a good while is flywheel hp correct? Your going to be making well over that. Plus I assume your going to run the living **** out of it(why mod it if your not gonna) and you have plans of meth injection and nitrous? The Good deal Ls7 clutch turns into a mistake fast.

Yea about nitrous/meth... I won't be going that route anymore.. My wife and I split up few days ago and she took the truck... I'm out 13.8g's and I darn sure not going to use the vette as a DD.. Going to have to find a beater or get the supra from ohio down here to Nc some how.. so I'm done modding the car for a while unless somthing breaks then of course I'll get a better w/e I broke.. another reason I went with the ls7 is because it was my back up... If I didn't find another clutch/flywheel within the time I was completing my project I would just use it until I do.. I really don't want to spend more then 500-600 for a good used clutch.. and If I get a brand new one it be the ls9x from katech. limiter74, My car should weigh in a little less then yours since My cf hood weigh's 12lb and the stock with liner is heavy I wanna say something like 45+lbs. I might be taking the borla axle back system off (35lb) and just putting a 3in dump back on when I get it back from rpm.. It's to quite with the system but we'll see. Do you have the LT3 package as well? I also thought the z51 would be lighter since they have cross drilled/slotted brakes. O and atm I weigh in @ 158lb's and might be taking the passanger seat out for this race.. depending how bad I beat him on motor there will be some money to be had I'm sure he is going to sand bag it to try in trick me Into throwing a nice stack or 2 down.
O and did you see on cf where the dude with just tire's,gto's,headers, exhuast, cai and a tune ran 11.2@122 mph with his 07 ls2 m6?

I would assume your car is heavier because its a z51, Bigger breaks and different suspension. I dunno wht the LT3 package is but I have Nav. I dont have the liner in my hood and there is no way that thing weighs 45 lbs...Taking the seat out and all that is over kill. My car by its self with out me it it weighs 3120 and I havnt hurd of them being much lighter unless obvious weigh reduction. You will be supprised how much the weight of his car is going to kill him..I beat several cars that I shouldnt be mostly because of drive but I also usually weigh a good bit less than them to. Here is my you tube channel to show some of the havoc I have wreaked with my little 373 wheel corvette....http://www.youtube.com/user/ms3camar...e=results_main

LT3 has the heated seats, bose stero, touch screen head unit, tilt steering wheel, Memory seats, and might be some more options... but they are heavier. Btw watching your vid's... makes me really excited to get the car back! I'll weigh the car in for race weight monday... Removing the axle back, passanger seat, less then 1/4 tank, with clear top and with my drag rims. Then tuesday I'll re-install everything, add the normal hardtop and do a re-weigh and compare... Idk man that stock hood is failry heavy. I'll weigh mine with one of those portable weigh scale. It just chills under my bed anyways..My number wasn't dead on.. I was just making guestamation about it. Would I like to lose 80lbs...in about 30 mins of work... heck yea

Yea my car is an lt3 then but it only weighs 3120. And my race weight witch is usually me(230 lbs) and a 160 lb passenger im at 3550lbs. I don't **** with weight reduction, id feel like an idiot if I pull up to race someone with no seat and all that and still get beat lol

Yea that Gto will have a passanger as well.. so I'm keeping the seat in and will have friend in also.. But she weighs about 118.. He more then likely will have his good buddy that weighs in a littl over 220. She's my weight reduction

Rpm did a start up tune and it is throwing crank sensor codes... I paid them 2,100 to get it out of the shop to fix the issue. I'm 80% sure I know why it's doing it. The ls2 sensor the top bolt out of the 2 I kinda striped it when I reinstall it.. It'll screw in but won't tighten down because it's stripped so I loc tight the hell out of it. Rpm said once I fix the issue bring it back and they'll finish tuning it for another 200$... I'll make a video here soon,.. Just a good 2 1/2 hr 1 way. That clutch feels awesome and dead on though. The car seems to be running in cripple mode until about 3.5k rpm then comes alive.

They did want to fix it for me... but to get that bolt requires a lot of work... there work = cash... I rather fix it myself... It'll take me about 50ish minutes to get to it.. another 5-6 mins to tap then at most hour half for re-install..

This saturday... I'm fixing the issue... hopefully next weekend.... Funny thing is.. they told me SLP sent me the wrong ls2 timing set... they said it was for a ls1/ls6.. I sent them a picture of it and that was there excuse... Even though I told them the problem..
