Happy to stand corrected. I guess that means that UK rwhp isn't quite the same as what they get over in the states...

Actually I do intent to get an idea where mine ends up versus your benchmark, but the car has a stock LS7 now, it should run for the first time some time in the next two weeks.

And sorry for the extra 2Ci difference related to your original question...but you might use it as an archive info.

Christian
I have this data from a circuit with a 1.85mile straight, each line up is 25mph and the ones on the bottom are 7.5secs, so you can see 75-150 is around 8secs. This was taken with 2D data logging equipment.

Has anyone cracked 600 with this size engine NA?
The only thing mine is missing is solid lifters, after that i really dont know how i would improve it further....
We made around 700rwhp with a 388ci gm ls7 stock block.
tfs245 heads
ITB manifold
solid roller
not sure of compression

Yes sir...

Have you thought of going with a solid roller and spinning it a bit more to getting the # you want?

I haven't seen a 416 with true 93 octane compression (below ~11.8:1) make anywhere close to 600rwhp. I'm not saying it can't be done, or that someone hasn't done it, but I haven't seen nor read about it. And the ones I have read about have not been close to 600rwhp..

Your ace in the hole are the ITB's.

If you ever have your car down for a long build, let's talk about you sending me your Kinsler ls7 itbs so I can do an A/B test against my Jenvey Ls7 itb setup. I would split shipping with you, and pay for the dyno time. We can do it through a shop so you felt comfortable you would get your itbs back right after the test.

Haven't heard of a 600rwhp 416 yet...but you should have no problem hitting 550+. A local guy hit 550 with WCCH LS3 heads and a Texas Speed cam on his 418 (6 speed C5), so I would think the extra 50hp over that setup is out there somewhere, and ITBs are an excellent start to finding it...but you already knew that.

Solid lifter is maybe next winter, however i want to get this up and running and have some fun using it on Circuit and drag days, plus road use too.
Re the shipping i am in the UK!!
Still waiting on the shims to land so i can get the valve springs set up...
I'll post up as soon as she gets on the dyno.
