Default LS9 cam in a n/a LS2

Guys, I have what is a LS9 ZR1 cam (it was supposed to be a LS7 cam but that is another story) How would this work in a N/A LS2.

It would open & close valve's but it would not make power. I would just get a custom spec'd cam & not leave a poop load of power on the table.

depends on what you looking for and your budget, i have a ls7 cam going in a ly6. but wont be running for a while. from what i have seen the g8 guys like the ls9 cam and ushally see around 30rwhp. also found a few over on the vetteforum ls3 gains 25rwhp with just the cam and tune. not bad for $120 if your not paying labor and already have the ls6 or 3 valve springs

It will make about 20 more horse at the wheels then stock. Its really not a bad cam, I have heard its a gain similar to headers. I almost installed one in my car but decided to get something better.

A guy I know is putting down 440hp with that cam, tune and boltons with his ls3 BTW.

Ok, thanks guys for the replies. I will probably still use it, when I bought it I was looking for a stock cam to replace the one in the ls2 that was bad (from a bad lifter) I wanted to keep all of my stock components so this seemed to be a good fit (since I was told it was from a LS7).
