100thou off L92 heads, ~12.0:1??
we've been tuning my car and it has been making some stupid power on the dyno, for a relatively mild build. eg L76 with DOD delete, 100thou off L92 heads, valve springs, ls2 cam, pretty much it, running e85. even through a big 4500 convertor, its pulling 404 rwhp, but all the way to 7100rpm. to put it mildly it is stupid fast for what it is (ran 122mph a few months back on a previous tune).
anyway, when we took 100thou off the heads, i guestimated 0.5 comp per 30thou (based on previous head milling, with little info over 30thou). starting at 10.4 this would leave me around ~12.0:1. i should of measured it when i had the heads off, but anyone can confirm this??
otherwise, we're totally baffled on why this thing just keeps on taking fuel/spinning and making hp.

Wow 100 off is a lot! That was part of the reason we made the PRC 250 & new 265cc aftermarket casting heads with smaller chamber options & tweaked valve angles. The valve drop on a LS3 after cutting off .100" is almost nothing!!

with stock ls2 cam with virtually no lift (.525"), using 7.3" pushrods it doesn't touch the piston. however for the sake of safety the pistons were flycut 100thou. this was an exercise to push the bolt-on boundaries. its done now and making hp.
intake fits without modification and the ports line up. the plastic manifold seem to flex a fraction and with the rubber o-rings, seals fine. only problem i had was with the engine lifting eye tabs and bolts, which i had to dremel down otherwise they fouled on block.
back to topic anyone with estimates?
