LY6 Camshaft?
LY6 Camshaft? I just bought a 08 LY6 and am installing it in a 93 Mustang Coupr. Does anyone whats the biggest cam you cam run without getting into P to V clearance. Im looking to run in the 10's on pump gas on motor alone if possible.
Glad you brought this up. So I call Mast Motorsports today, and I'm getting some camshaft info, for my ly6, and they quote me a price of $799 for cam and springs. Ouch. What did you guys pay? Does the vvt stuff cost more? I appreciate performance, for sure, and I don't mind paying for it, but that seems high to me.

Call Texas Speed and talk to them. Ive had great results with their cam kit. It was close to 900$ IIRC for the kit. Cam springs keepers retainers and the cam phase limiter.

This is the old tune. It is a little easier to follow the torque curve, because they locked the converter and started the pull at under 3000 rpm.
The new tune makes about the same torque as before, maybe a slight bit more. The 430 number is inaccurate because it's a spike. The blue numbers are with the converter locked and we're looking at 422hp and about 401tq. The red numbers are converter unlocked and are what I experience on the street, because my converter doesn't lock at full throttle. It's amazing what an efficient converter can do.

Yes all I have is a cam swap trom TSP thier vvt-2 cam, long tubes and single 3.5 inch exhaust. Great power everywhere with the vvt. Waiting on a rear eand so I can get it to hook.
