I am subscribed as well, I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a 383/402/418 build, I have even considered a straight ls3 with big cam swap and selling my 50k ls1.
What are you hoping to make or think you will make with the research you have done.

Im seeing guys with smaller cams and heads that flow less make 530-550. I'd imagine my 3.91's and 19" wheels might kill a little power on the dyno. I dont see it being lower than 525 really.

In case you guys havent seen my car, here is a video I took of my current setup a while back.

Nice ride and sounds great, that's awesome anything over 500 and a good tq curve will be killer, I watched a video of A ls3 with ported heads, ported intake ,and a big cam make over 500 but TQ was not as high as the small cam strokers but cost wise I am tryin to decide what to do?

Just do alot of research and talk to vendors. My car is at RPM right now so hopefully I'll have some numbers up in the next several weeks. My cam is not that big but I didnt want a huge cam. Something that worked well with the flow numbers of the heads and would be easy to drive day to day.

I'm in the same position right now.... trying to figure out if it's worth my money to stroke my LS6 block or just get a 402. Hell, I'd be happy with a stock LS2 short block at this point.

Heads will be AI 232's though, and of course the cam is coming from Ed.

Times like these I wish I was still in North Carolina.... The FBody scene really blew up after I left in 2005. I envy your build OP. Best of luck!

It has been at the shop for about a week now. Last I heard they had my old heads, cam and intake manifold off. I have someone going there to buy the old parts. I'm assuming the motor is already out. Shouldn't be too much longer before I have numbers up.

Just throwing this out there. I know you looked into the FAST and a L76 intake, but did you look into a Vic Jr. style with a single plane throttle body or even a elbow?

Sorry I haven't posted updates in a while. I just called the shop Friday and they told me the motor would be done this week and in the car up and running the week after. I should have some numbers up by the 12th. There was a delay because we were waiting on a few parts that were not in stock like the pistons.
