I know this is a OLD AND DEAD THREAD BUT...... I was i pressed with the numbers. But with the surging and (GIVEN THE ENGINE SIZE)med/big SOLID cam I would kinda exspect decent numbers. Still a cool engine.
While the builders of the engine did a really nice job building something different, I still give them a "F" in painting the engine. They missed the heads completely !!!

I have a destroked BBC 477 that Eric Weingarter built. It is a 4.5" bore x 3.76" stroke. If I had it to do all over again I would do a 4.6" x 3.5". I was looking for big hp and less torque. The 477 did 810hp 7000rpm and only 666tq. More tq than I wanted but still ok for my car. LSX 388s (destroked 427s), are an example of a good road racing engine for a light weight car.
