Default Pushrods...

you don't have to change the length unless you change the camshaft right? I'm changing the rocker arms though.
please don't hate on me... I'm a noob...

You change the pushrods anytime there is a change in the heads or block. The length is not changed even with a different camshaft.

If you're changing the rockers I would go ahead and upgrade to some hardened pushrods while you're there.

When you change ANYTHING in there it has potential to change the needed pushrod....swapping camshaft, heads, block, gaskets, valves, and yes, even rocker arms can cause the need for a different pushrod. Always measure to be sure!

Gauge length (how most aftermarket pushrods are measured) of the stock pushrods is about 7.380" or so.

You don't have to if the lifters that are in it are fine. People usually do an upgrade to the LS7's. You have to pull the heads to replace them though.

well I want to turbo the engine eventually. I want to upgrade as many of the easier to break parts as possible. Rocker arms, pushrods, lifters, head bolts.

if I pull the heads on a crate LS3 will I have to replace the gasket? or is the stock one a steel shim gasket...?
