Ls2 can it go to 455
4" bore and even a 4.125 stroke is only 414 ci. An LS3 block will give you a larger 4.060" bore and with a 4.125 stroke you will have a 427. 4.125" stroke on a stock cylinder length tends to have piston rock and wear issues, so road racing wouldn't be a good idea in my opinion.
Another way to get there is via a 4.130" bore and 4.25" stroke. This will leave sleeve wall material for future rebuilds. Using a 4.25" stroke, max. engine size with 4.185" bore will be 468".
