Default Reluctor ring runout help! 24x in ls3

What is the Max runout? Mine is at .0265 on one spot. And is runout only measured on the flywheel side? Any and all help pertaining too this issue. How do I accurately check it?

I think I remember the spec being 0.010". Guessing your doing a swap, as the LS-3 had a 58x wheel? I'd be concerned with runout viewing the wheel perpendicular to the crank centerline, as that's what the sensor sees. That said, the GM ECM is a bit more tolerant than an MSD box and possibly other aftermarket setups...

Yes I'm doinga swap into an 98 Fbody. Its a new ls3 block.. In my book it says Max is .028 but some engines require .010, I need too make sure its right.

This has become a problem sense gm has sent the machining of this part to mexico, the quality is just not the same as it used to be. Another problem is at higher rpm the rivets are not holding the two parts together and they will separate. LME make a one pice billet wheel it's not the cheapest but it is worth the money.

You are correct. The next time my engine comes apart this billet relucter will go in. I already had one of these come apart on me and it's sitting on my fridge in my shop as a conversation piece
