Engine dyno was done with 65lb FAST injectors and we just had enough fuel.

My engine tuner recommended the newly released high-impedance Siemens-Deka 80lb. They flow 80lb/hr @ 43psi and are controllable at low pulse widths which allows you to use a larger injector than normal without hurting idle and low speed driveability. The high-impedance; makes them compatible with most ECU's..

Mine is tuned/dyno'd at 60psi and I made just a little more than you with 42s, same as my Racetronics pump puts out. In fact with the gage I have it pushes upwards of 63-65psi and seemed to drop close to 61psi at 6800 rpm. Why would you only have 43psi. Smaller injectors usually have the best idle as you have more scalability at a low demand. Bigger injectors have bigger jumps between the adjustments. I do agree it is not good to be too close to maximum either, which I might be bordering on with my bigger headers I added. It should show up pretty quick on the chassis dyno though and Racetronics is not far from the dyno I will be on.

All is good though, just curious why 65s would be too small, if you calculate it, they are good to 980 hp at 80% duty cycle.

I used this calculator and assumed 60psi are your pressure. look about near the bottom of the page. It is pretty accurate, I entered 90%, 61 psi, 705 hp and it gets 41.34 psi injector required, so it is nearly spot on.

Hey Mike,

Very nice build!

I know you're anxious to get the wheel numbers but here's my mild little 427 on a Superflo engine dyno for comparison. On a DJ there numbers are in my sig. Both are C5's so the drivetrain loss should be comparable. I run LG's Big 3 catback. Peak HP on the Superflo was 656 and 610 torque.

I added the chin spoiler this winter. No pics yet.

Corbeau A4's and leather interior. I was just fitting it here. The HVAC is now mounted - LOL
