Rebuilt better and going ok so far.

Goal is 200,000 with any luck.

It eats a bit of oil. I dont think the hone job or piston to bore setup was done right. But its tolerable. Next time, Id go 427 to keep parts off the shelf. But no hesitation in doing a stroker again. OEM config..
Can you post some specifics of your build? Ls2 block? Ls3?

Sorry cant see sigs in mobile view.

If you would be so kind, can you post what the resleeve cost including machine work and sleeves?

I'm wanting to go this route. I already have cnc ported ls3 heads and intake. Should make a killer setup IMO

And does anyone run a 4.25 stroke in an OEM sleeve?

You can build a 468 with a short deck block using Darton sleeves, but real estate is getting very tight in regards to cam location, choice of rods, etc.

For you and other's not experiencing oil consumption or, I assume, excessive blowby, what were your rings gapped to and what pistons are you using?

I wish I could provide some input. I’ve got an LSX 454 crate engine but it’s going to be a while before it’s on the road. It’s going in a Factory Five so I’ve got to build the darn car before fire up.

We have a 454 LSx short-block in stock with a seasoned block & priced very attractively! It's a 4.185" bore & 4.125 stroke.

We typically do about a dozen of these engines a year with good results.
