I would like 2 c these heads on a larger bore also. 4.125 - 4.185 As of right now this is the best head out until the TFS LS7 come out.The flow #s would lead me think around
@ .600 395+cfms
@ .700 408+cfms they may began to stall...... the port is small and may need some porting to get the most out it when U get to bigger engines and + .700 lift cams same head as the LS7 YET with a more useful runner size check out most after ls7 heads 275cc thru 305cc's.
The deck should be @ .750

LS7 head port is higher
LSX DR is even higher and better valve angle
LT1 HEAD is a LSX DR with DI
The TFS LS3 head should be ported to flow past .800 lift 4 comp motors
but 400cfm with 4.125 bore what more do U want with 255cc the TFS LS7 will be 267cc or 265cc range.
The (TFS-255) air gets bad past .700 lift and throw in a larger bore...They already port'em HERE IN HOUSTON.

We just did this through a TR-6060 in a 2013 Grand Sport. TEA TFS GenX 255cc heads with a 50* exhaust valve job on pump gas. 377 c.i. 20psi from a YSI, stock LS3 intake/tb, custom Tick blower cam and voila.
Very impressed with the torque these heads were able to put out. The smaller port works well in this regard.

I finally got a email back from Gregg at TEA I was asking what the valve weights were they used and the flow rates he told me they don't touch the port work or the valves from TF they just change the springs and do a 5 angle valve job. I really thought they did some hand work on the ports based on what I was reading guess not!

If you ask any head porter, they will tell you that the secret lies in the valve job. They will tell you that the port is important of course, it's very important. Valve job can unlock some serious power.
If the port was designed well from TFS, no need to reinvent the wheel.
TEA does hand blending on bowl/throat.

Hand blending of the valve job.
Valve job is done on a CNC.
It is then hand blended into the bowls of the combustion chamber and the throat of the runner.
The throat is the seat area above the valve, the bowl is the seat area below the valve. The "port" is not touched.

For my own knowledge I just sent Gregg an email to see if they indeed do hand blend the 255's. The last set we had that we put on that Grand Sport I had a 50* exhaust valve job done on them and they had what looked to be hand blending.
Here is a set of 235's we had here a while back that were hand blended. You can see where they were touched.
