I went with a SLP high pressure which if memory serves is the 295 Melling, but machined for a double roller chain.

So that is the high pressure/high volume pump correct LPE? Is that what you went with on your build?

Call Tim at the Car Shop Inc

I am using the pump that he sells and it has some features that no one else offers

These big stroke alum block engines need all the help they can get in the oiling area.

Got home this weekend and got a chance to test fit the new oil pan, and get the headers fitting....These headers are huge!!!!

The fat I had to trim off the trans...

and the new oil pan...it has some clearance issues with the tie rods but I think I can get that straightened out with some shaving....

So I've run into an issue with the power steering system and the idea of a hydraboost brake system...the directions for the billet specialties tru track power steering pump clearly state that the system is not designed for use with a hydraboost brake system...so now I am trying to figure out what to do about brakes...I would like to stay away from a manual system....does anyone make an electric vacuum pump I can run to the stock brake booster?

I am going to run the billet specialties kit either way...I already have the kit and it takes some other headaches out of the equation...I am also thinking of using a vacuum manifold block of some sort coming off of the vacuum rails of the intake to distribute vacuum to the brake booster and the map sensor....I just emailed Billet specialties so we will see what they have to say about modifying this system to work with hydroboost.....

How do you like it? Work well? I was looking at them earlier and it looks like they are meant for picking up slack at idle with a big cam, and not really to run 100% of the time....is that the case?

You're not going to want to share vacuum between MAP and the brake booster due to the possibility of screwin up MAP readings. Call Kinsler....

Sorry about that....Yeah it helped a lot when at idle and stop light braking with the ole 383 setup... I'm on pause for now until after new yr. I've gotten most of the things I wanted to end this yr. I got my Comp cam 1.8 adj stud mounted rockers(great bargain for solid roller set-up) I've been on the road most of the time the last 2 months doing the Stone Remodels as usual. I could always read all of the post but writing or typing on the Xbox is something I hated doing in the hotel room. Hydratech hydroboost is the best thing out there i personally would not want to run a Elec. booster what happens when there is a short...
