New laws here in corpus mean no cel phones, time for hands free
[IMG][/IMG]
the extra fog light switches in that pic are used as toggles, one attached to my SLP line lock, other attached to my dual flash PCM.
the cpm changes tune when the new pin that was attached is grounded. My plan is to run one 93 and the other E85. i understand that E85 is not consistently 85% so i had to account for that in the fuel system.
Installed a Lonnies double pumper system. ran stainless 0.035 seamless hard lines which turned out to be much harder than originally throughout because i was essential adding a line that was not there before because of the needed return. I tabbed up a 1/2inch feed and 3/8inch return. Also ran braided PTFE hose in other sections.
For the hard lines i had to remove the mounts that were under the heat shields and then i but high temp rubber along the body and pretty much sandwiched the lines between it and the heat shields.
all of this pretty much took a week to do.

Like i said i needed to account for E85 variations, installed a zeitronix etch sensor in the return

Next came time for the exhaust system. I have a set of kooks 2" headers with D-port for the next motor
[IMG][/IMG]
since these won't fit the current motor i picked up a used set of 1 7/8 for now on ebay to attach to the new kooks true dual. I had all this installed by a local exhaust shop and picked the wrong one because the effed it up in glorious fashion. Broke my radiator and forgot to put my dipstick tube back in so i lost about 1/2 my oil and coolant
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
this is why i do all the work myself… seem to never be able to trust anyone
Car is having some 12" hush power muffler installed on the true duals instead of the bullets and should be back today. pics and video of sound should shortly follow

Unpacked the motor and WOW. Thank you Seth and everyone at ERL, look at those numbers. Running a 0.04 gasket for sure

Superdeck 1
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
I will now start pulling all the parts I've collected out of the closet and get some pics for everyone. All i really need motor wise at this point is head studs and throttle body, but I am about to start a now position at a different hospital which means i am no longer 7 on 7 off and will be mon-fri and won't have as much time to work on it. May have to get the local performance shop in town to assemble and install or at least install the motor because i may not have the time anymore… Any one here ever worked with Unlimited Performance in Corpus Christi?

i know I'm running a small cam but i did my best to pick the right parts, any estimation on numbers? looks like my static CR is going to come to 11.9:1… hmm getting close to borderline for 93 octane on the dynamic at 9.07?

alright, car back and exhaust fixed, now running kooks 1 7/8 headers into catted kooks true duals and then flow master hushpower mufflers then the sandwiched the 3" pipe into my center mount. Very happy with the results, looks good and the sound is not too loud. I was kind of trying to make this car a bit of a sleeper but at this point I'm not sure that will be possible. The exhaust is slightly louder then factory and idle and freeway speeds. Pretty much anything under 2k rpm is just slightly noticeable and its just enough to cover what little wine i had left in my rear end.

Get rid of the Granatelli BS coils and get stockers.. D585 truck coils, LS2, or LS3/7 style...

well the gapped the GFX rings at 0.0053 which is a little wider than what weisco lists at "moderate nitrous". This question has been posed before but what is moderate nitrous? was planning on running a 300 shot wet.

Man! I can't believe it's taken me this long to dig up your thread! Love the build! Buddy, let me tell you from experience, you're going to want more cam. My 235/251 114 LSA cam on LSL lobes feels mild; like stock tame LS7 cam mild. The torquer 116 is going to feel like a LS1. After driving mine for a couple of weeks now, I can tell you a 24X/26X cam would be real nice with our cubes, especially with high compression.

Also, like you mentioned, the torquer 116 or 110 is really going to be too close for comfort on pump gas. At first I was going to go with the torquer 110. After Discussing my goals with Quality Motorsports (who installed everything), that's when we went w/ the 235/251. Truly, I'd go at least 235/251, and now after driving it a bit, I'd personally go a little bigger than that, like 242/260.

As far as est. power I'd say roughly this:

Torquer 116 - 550 wheel
Torquer 110 - 570
235/251 (K501) - 590+
242/260 - 610+

Just some food for thought.

Yah I know I could have gone bigger but I honestly wanted to keep the factory feel... Except with like 2x the numbers haha. This thing is gonna love the e85... And when I need the extra power nothing wrong with a 300-400shot

You'll want bigger my friend, especially off the juice. K501 it at a minimum, you won't regret it at all!

I'll consider it, I'm actually getting to the point of this build I'm looking forward to. I plan to do step by step of me building my own long block. One to show other people how to do it and two so that the experts that do this for a living can point out and tricks they have or tell me if I skipped anything or did anything wrong. I've been wanting to build my own motor for a long time now and since I finally have the financial means to do so here we are
