Default valve float probleme 402

i have a 402 ls2 in my 2002 camaro, built 4 years ago, in the begening i could spin the engine to 7000, since 2 years the engine will only spin 6200. my heads are Patriot stage 3 LQ9 with dual gold springs. cam is custome 236-242 112 and .596-.612 lift with stock rockers,.648 ext with the 1.8. i have the 1.8 crane aluminum adjustable kit. my question is what springs can i replace my dual gold with no modification.

We ship all over the world.

We use USPS to Canada, the prices are very reasonable.

will only be able to install this winter, will give update on springs when the car comes out of storage, will mesure my old dual gold springs see how much they lost, not much mileage on them.

BTR springs all day long. Used them on 3 cam swaps so far and no issues. Can't beat the price or quality.

most people would say to get ride of my 1.8 alum. crane rockers, i kno that with my cam that they are a bit much but i alredy had them and like that i could adjust the valve train. i was hoping that there was a spring out there that i could use to keep my set-up.

I am running Comp alum rockers. They are 1.82 ratio and with them calculated in my lift is .610/.637. So far no problems at all running my BTR springs with that setup.

You ordered springs from Brian. There is no better person to ask your questions to. Call him up. He is always ready to help.

also just ordered a set of 1.7 crane roller rockers to replace my 1.8, wanted to keep the adjustable valve train.
what do you's think about .080 preload on the ls7 lifters i have, i use a dial indicator on the end of my push rod end of the rockers.

well I have the springs and 1.7 rockers in today, have it all at 0 lash, instruction says 2 full turn after 0, seem like the last time I adjusted the valves 1 1/4 turn gave me .080 preload. what do you think is a good preload ?

.080" is pretty safe for the LS7s. You can go less. I wouldn't go below .050" though.

.080 is what I am going for, that is 1 1/4 turn. was wondering why crane wanted 2 full turns witch would give me .120 preload,( I measured it) in my opinion is a lot.

did more reading from crane, they suggest .082 preload . they are just wrong at saying 2 full turns, it is at 1 1/4 turns.
