You're a smart man! Yes, the knock sensors have to be desensitized a bit. Actually, the day I picked it up, I had to drive it home in 5'o clock traffic and it threw a P0332 (knock sensor) code before I got home. I cleared it, and it hasn't done it since. Patrick @QMS told me he'll need to desensitized them a little more and it'll be taken care of.

You being in Corpus couldn't go wrong with letting Pat G tune it in Victoria. I don't know if there's a better tuner around. He'd love to tune your beast for sure!

Yah the trick to the knock sensors and what im looking to find is someone that is able to spend the time to accurately set the sensitivities on the sensors so that they work as properly as possible. Ive been told it takes quite a while and requires tuning with knock ears but every time i try and post something here trying to find someone or at minimum some advice i dont really get any thorough responses so i guess we will see when the time come

I just got done with that code. I was told that wasn't for knock at all, but rather low voltage.

Here's a pic of why-

Oh no! Was it a pain to see that? I haven't seen the code since, so I hope it was just a first 60 miles type deal.

If you've got the car up to operative temp twice, and did a hot start, and it hasn't come back, you're in the clear.

I only discovered that after I ohm'd the KS's, as well as through the harness, and knew both were good. At that point, I knew it was wire related, from the pigtail to PCM, somewhere.

I just happened to see it when I started inspecting.

Being the car only has 39k on her, I figured replace them as well as the harness while I'm there, and do the RTV dam as well.

how is the ls9r clutch doing? what made you pick that over lets say a mccleod rxt? im looking into clutches now to pair with my new transmission. what kind of mileage is expected on those under normal street conditions? Ive heard of some odd quick failures and even though i have some of their parts, katech isnt exactly known for their customer service. When i got my order from them i was missing some things and when i talked to jason he more or less accused me of lieing saying his inventory was correct and i must have gotten my things.

That's some detective work Dave! As for mine, it happened day 1, and not since.

I love the clutch. I picked up the LS9X, the "R"I thought was a little more than I needed. The reason I picked it up, was 1) I wanted a stock feeling pedal, what better way than to get a higher performance stock clutch! 2) b/c I've driven it in my Dad's C6Z and it is awesome. It's actually a lighter pedal than the LS7. 3) QMS has installed tons of them w/ great success, and backs it w/ warranty.

As for mileage using as a DD, I don't see why it wouldn't last as long as a factory clutch would with factory power + bolt ons.

Sorry to hear about the customer service issue. It may be the Michigan life getting to him. I've bought quite a few things from Katech, but all over the net. I never have called.

Oh, and I'd also look at the Monster LT1 (new LT1) dual clutch swap. I'm not sure it's been retro'd to the F body, but it's been installed on Vettes. If I hadn't have already purchased my LS9X, I'd have really looked at this as an option. Its a cheaper alternative, with the same benefits.

Looks great but I'm waiting to get the new clutch so if yal know anybody want single disc clutch with 18lb fly holding up to 900 rwtq lmk lol. I'm going have bunch extra parts as well lol.

I think you'll love the switch. The pedal will feel like a feather comparatively.

Weather was good enough this morning to get a 100+ mile cruise in, so I've crested the 300 mile mark! It'll be time for final tuning in the next 2 weeks

Also, was able to get a little close course 45-100 pull... Very traction limited... TC was on so, it could've been quicker, but good to get a pull regardless.

Me too! It'll probably be the last week of the month when we finish up the dyno. I want to be there when they're doing the pulls; and this weekend I'm headed down to the Texas mile to watch my pops run his C6Z.

The pull will be better when I'm winding it out to 7300, and TC is off.

93,yes, and yes. That's why I want to be around when the dyno's are going down. 7300 will make a big difference, especially when the cam really asked up from 5k- 7+.

GREAT POINT! I've spent all weekend looking at what fuel I'm going to use for my 1/2 mile event... VP 101, 103, C10, C20... Still not sure. Since I'm running cats I want to run something that won't damage them or my o2's. Otherwise, I'd be all over 109!

Full time would be tough. 10-12mpg and a tank that's less than 20 gal would stink! Even with this thing not finished being tuned and me beating on it; while out today I was getting 22. For a brief time, it's be fun, but I'd want to switch back quick!

Really thinking about it. Are you running 2 different PCM's simotaniouly or swapping them out when needed?
