Good for you OP, I plan on doing this kind of build, when I'm hitting my mid life crisis.

I hope this isn't my mid-life crisis, I'm 33!

That is going to be a beast! Will you be running E85 on the street? That's some serious compression!

Sounds like you should come close to your goals based on Doug's build in this thread since it looks like you're using the same cam https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...hp-532wtq.html.

Two pearls of wisdom that I would offer you.....go with a 0.040" thick head gasket for proper quench on pump gas (I use this gasket with 11.8 SCR and pump out 680RWHP on a stock LS7 short block using 92 octane pump gas!) and get the larger 102mm TB and use a ported FAST.....then you'll exceed your goals! Good luck, nice build!

I followed your build quite a bit when looking at options for this build. The Fast and 102 were out of scope to this point in the build, b/c I'm having to upgrade my clutch and my cooling package. Oil cooler, Dewitt's Radiator, and Spal fans took priority, due to our vettes typically running hot when adding HP. All in time though....

What MPH should 600 wheel in a Vette produce?

Chris supplied & ported my TF 235's. Is he helping with your camshaft choice?

No, but he works with my install shop a bunch on LS7 top end porting, and was completely aware of the cam we were going to use. He's been great to deal with. I highly recommend him.

Alright! I'm guessing you're sticking it in the Bimmer? That'll make for a fun machine! Are you also going LS7 top side?

My ERL 434 is sitting in the garage waiting to be assembled, sad to look at. I plan to run the WCCH stage 2's with 0.040 gasket for SCR 11.8 and i have a katech torquer 116 which should put my DCR around 9.0. Where are you gonna get it tuned?

Is the .040" thick gasket a Cometic? I assume it isn't MLS style...

Have you already purchased your cam? Reason I ask is, the 116 is putting you right on the edge of pump gas w/ that high of DCR. My father has the 116 in his C6Z and it responds just like the stock cam did. It's a nice cam, but with the extra cubes we have with our 434's overlap will be soaked up a bunch. My cam is going to have 15* of overlap, and it should be real tame even w/ that amount of overlap.

The Cometic is the stock thickness, .051. This is what QMS recommend I use. Since they probably have messed w/ more LS7's than just about anyone else in the country, I'm taking their advice.

I have it already. It is kind of close on the DCR, but the 110 version with factory compression puts it at 9.1:1 DCR and people run that on 91 octane. I was considering running the 0.051 gasket since i already have it, but after reading, pretty much everywhere recommends running 0.040-0.045 quench for better performance and motor longevity on the street. Not entirely sure how it does this though
