Default LSX DR/CR Intake Manifold on LS7 Heads

Has anyone tried the LSX DR/CR intake manifold on LS7 heads? I know the manifold bolt pattern is different, but if the ports match then drilling and tapping the heads for the new bolt pattern should not be a problem.

If tried, was it worth the effort? I am interested in using the tall deck 4500 intake manifold (P/N 19257852) on an all out 468 cid race boat engine which has WCCH LS7 heads.
Thanks
MrE

Wonder how much milling was needed and if that made the bolt holes line up?

The GM DR manifold is readily available and about $1000 less money. I can easily mill the flanges and drill and tap my heads for the intake bolts. If the Mast manifold is worth substantially more power I might consider it... I am currently using the GM LS7 4150 manifold with a 4500 adapter and it works well... Without dyno proof I don't really think there is much power difference in any of these manifolds (LS7 4150, LSX-DR or the Mast). If anyone has some real data on this I would love to see it.

if you can wait until Apr i'll have some engine results...i'm using the Mast intake on an LSX 454 with some WCCH Brodix heads.

I also started down the path of using a different manifold that needed injector boss's machined and after the cost and really trusting who can do it right it wasn't worth.

Thanks, I really need to make a decision in the next few weeks. I'm hoping someone has some back to back performance data on these manifolds. Where are you located in AZ? I'd like to see that manifold and your LSX.
