Dammit Jake. I know better than to read threads you've started...
No kidding. You read and the next thing you know, you're buying a new short block.

Did we even get a final number on the 347?

If you got 580rwhp.... Jake wait 2 change the heads the added stroke will pick up the TQ and a matched cam= 2.. 600 +rwhp easy just on #'s.. Another set of heads= 2grand with parts & Cnc work..
I cheated on my solid roller with Comp stud mount adjustable 1.8 rocker and TFS rocker gridle... beats a T&D. or.Jesel... shaftmount rocker all day $600 vs $1100 I just got .757 lift... and it dies @ 7400rpm
It was meant 2 be a .715 lift cam with 1.7 rocker

EXACTLY!!!! Use that extra money for other things...
My TEA ported 799's flow right @ 340cfm.... My engine builder knows those guys over at TEA... He had them do some extra stuff to the heads that exceeds a stage 3 port....

are there better heads out there...? Absolutely! When someone at a car show or a race track is looking under my hood and see the 799 castings they seem very perplexed...

It's all about matching the RIGHT parts so they are all working together...

LG took the NW back and gave me a full refund....

He told me the same when I asked him about reworking my AFR's. In the end, it would be cheaper to buy new rather than put money into an already had casting.

01Z0H6, I have a 2004 Vette.... Might be interested in your NW 102 if you haven't done any mods to it.

I'm waiting on my trans crossmember. Supposed to be here Monday. And for some reason this FLT Level 6 I bought secondhand (and got from FLT was supposed to have -6AN fittings but I never checked). Well I found out when I hooked my trans cooler up with -6AN lines, the stock compression fittings were on there. So little things set me back because I had to order the 1/4" NPS fitting (I had an NPT and that doesn't fit). Plus working in the hot garage I move slow as hell.

Sounds good. I'll be home Tuesday for two weeks. If you come to town, let me know.

Always cold tasty adult beverages at my house.

I hear that! Garages w/o A/C or big fans are ovens in our areas of the country!
