Good luck with the build!

On a side note, any idea what the LT1 setup made for power when you ran the numbers in your sig? Also, what transmission setup?

Thanks man. The old set up was a stock bottom end LT1. It made 416 rwhp. It never had a clean run on that track outing( check out vids in my sig), hitting the limiter on the 2-3 shift. It was a good set up while it lasted. It had a non lock up FLT 4L60E.

Definitely great numbers out of it, especially for not touching the bottom end. What was up with it hitting the limiter? Tune issue or transmission issue? Are you gonna stick with the same transmission for the new engine?

It was in the tune. As of now, yes. I will use the same trans, if it can handle the new power level.

Nice build. I am leaning towards doing an LS3 416 as well for my next motor, with a Procharger supplying the air. I'm thinking I need to skip the 1 7/8" headers and go to 2" like you did.

Nice! It was highly suggested by very well known LS guru here on this forum, I did not just pick them and say "go big or go home" Lol. Thanks for looking man.

Looks real clean. Just painted it, huh? I think the front ends on LT1 4th gens Camaros look better than the LS1s IMO

You can get a callies crank for like 900 bucks (compstar) and a K1 crank is even cheaper. I would just avoid eagle.

whats the HP rating on the dragonslayer? I want 1500hp strength, not that I'll be getting that high, but the next level down is only 700-750

Callies personally told me the dragonslayer can hold 1800 horses. I seen a one fail at 1100 rwhp tho but seen one last on a 900 rwhp setup for 4 years and counting.

With all do respect guys, do a search. No need to talk about this on my build thread. Thanks guys. Btw, I would still stick with Callies, their crankshafts and connecting rods.

So what are you doing for a ypipe since the collector is a 3.5"? Are you going custom, or using the kooks?

Don't know yet. It will not be a full exhaust to the rear of the car, thats for sure. I ran about a foot of pipe after the collectors, then Dynomax bullet mufflers dumped on on my old set up. It worked pretty well. I may do the same with this build or run Kooks 3.5"-4" y pipe and dump a 4" muffler.

Adolfo, I think you are on the right path after our discussion today. Come on in next Thursday and let's get you a came plan to make that thing fly.
Also I will give Adam from FLT a call for you about swapping your 4l60 for a TH400 if you'd like.
