Benny, it looks like you ended up with a TH400 vs. the glide that you had planned for.

Yeah I did, that's just the way things ended up working out. I also got a nice deal on a whole th400 swap.

It'll work just fine and probably last longer. The down side is that it weighs more and uses a bit more power.

So I measured my pushrod length and came up with 7.905" at zero lash. My total length with .035" of preload would be 7.94". I suppose depending on who I go through I'll either need that measurement or minus .017 for gauge length. I'm debating between Manton or Trend and if I remember right one asks for gauge length and the other requires overall length when ordering.

I thought these measurements seemed high, especially for how far the heads are milled. I did use the comp cams length checker, but measured that with a digital caliper. Everything should be accurate as I checked several times on both exhaust and intake side

Great build but I gotta ask, What's with all the blankets, towels, quilts and rugs? I thought I was OCD for setting everything on rags and shop towels but you got me "Hands Down"... LOL!!

I don't know I've just always used old towels and blankets for everything. Usually for when I'm laying underneath the car so I don't have to lay on bare concrete, but yeah I'm kind of OCD too... lol

That's a good question, I'll have to look more into it.

Default PMG Alternator

Hi Benny, yes a know value if I new your MAX RPM ? (8000 ?)

My PMG Alternator should be finished (proto) in thirty days, with "beta" units is sixty days.
That is a 12K Max RPM Armature with embedded magnets. (N-52)

The CAD will be done by Casey Wegner, a team member.
