Default new cam help

I have a comp cams .608/.610 230/237@.050 114+5lsa for my bone stock 2008 5.3 non vvt turbo build. It has 799 heads, truck intake. What would be a good set of springs and will my stock pushrods work? Thanks for helping a new guy.

Called comp cams. The tech rep said thats a grwat cam for my combo. No piston to valve clearance issues. He said run a 26925 spring and a 2500-2800 converter with a 331 gear.

That is a pretty good cam selection , I would do a dual valve spring kits like you can get from Tooly , Texas speed , Pac , Howards , Me lol , , Also I would highly recomend you go with an aftermarket hardened one peice pushrod in a .080 or .083 wall , The other thing is your factory rockers may be short lived you might want to invest in a set of trunion upgrades or better rockers, Its better to over kill it once than wait and let it do damage

Thanks for the info. I will do the trunion upgrade and hardened one piece pushrods.

For a 230 237 cam they recommended a 25 to 2800 stall and 3.31 gears??? Id go at least 3200 to 4k stall and 3.73 gears for that healthy of a cam.

Manley Nextek .660 dual springs are good. Get a pushrod checker from comp or summit so you can determine the correct pushrod length before you order.
Nice project.
