Default Cometic HG Dry or Coated?

So i have read some recommend coating the Cometic HG's with copper spray to help seal and i heard install them dry which is the best route?
New lsx block and Mast heads that is boosted if that matters!

I'm pretty sure Cometic recommends installing them dry.

I always use permetex hitack. I will never install a set without it.

They say dry, but I put copper spray on mine because I didn't have a machined deck on my stock shortblock. No coolant leaks from mine.

So when you guys spray them do you drill out the rivets and spray between layers or just the top and bottom?

Cometic says use nothing and I have used half a dozen sets of them installed dry with zero issues.

It seems like a 50/50 deal as far as coating goes!

Nope just the sides that contact teh block and heads.
