ls2 c6 228r stock stall ? ? ?
hey guys i have an 06 c6 ls2 and my brother has a 228r cam just laying there i loved the way my brothers performed with that cam same race weight as i. im looking to swap it in but not looking to do a converter swap for a while. id do a 3200 in the future. i know the car would be some what of a dog of the hole but rolling the car should perform well right?
will i run in to issues like trans over heat and or something similar ?
i have see with a good tune they are well mannered.
what problem can i come across ?
thanks in advanced...

im asking if id hurt anything cause ill be doing the cam and later down the road ill consider the stall. i know the stall is everything but i can live without it for now. im concerned that i blow something or mess up the trans. 6l80

thanks! that's what i'v been seeing on the threads. that the 6l80 is better behaved than the 4l60 with it. the bigger cube motor makes the 228r a lil more tame than in a 5.7 also its ground at 112 lsa.
the cam put down 393 on a 5.7 ported 806 heads and ls1 intake stock injectors. hoping for a 420 440 rwhp on my ls2 with the stock 243s should real fun to drive looking strictly for under the curve power street cruiser.

Your tranie is going to be just fine and the car will by no means be a cow off the line, is going to be faster in fact, the converter will help in keeping the car from pushing too much in idle standing at the traffic light, and yes the stall will require good traction tires so you can take full advantage of it.

any idea what it would make ?

Don't know what exactly the question is but in terms of 1/4 mile times a cam in the mix, car could be as much 1/2 second faster using the rite stall and tires plus what ever else the cam will add.

ok sense with the cam u have to raise the rpm to about 850 the car feels like it pushing threw the brakes. sense u have to hold the car more do to the rpm being higher. i thought it would add stress to the trans sense its constantly trying to push threw. BETTER?
