Default L92/LS3 - Going into Superlite SLC

Hey folks!

I'm in the middle of building an SL-C (you might have seen one on Stacey David's Gearz).

I purchased an L92 from that came from a 2011 Escalade. I plan on doing a rebuild to the engine (possibly even a stroker). The wireharness that came with it is pretty old/dirty/beaten up. So I plan on purchasing another one. Here is my question.

Since I will be replacing all the items below, and still want to retain the VVT, and the thottle body (why purchase another one when I have it already), would it be possible to use the L99's wire harness from the Camaro? I have the ECU from the Escalade. I am assuming this can be reprogrammed/tuned just like any other GM ECU.

- Replaced Intake Manifold with LS3 style
- Replaced Oil Pan with C6 Batwing
- Corvette DBW Pedal

Will be purchasing the following:

- new fuel rail and injectors
- upgraded Cam
- electric water pump

I will provide pictures shortly.

Swap out thew heavy intake valves for LS3's and GOOD valve springs. Patrick G can spec you a custom VVT cam.

Two of the fastest road race cars in NorCal are modified SL-C chassis with 525hp LS3 motors. I would send out the heads to WCCH for a port job and new valves/springs, upgraded cam, retain the stock bottom end and put that $ into a real dry sump system. If you can drive that at the limit you will have one very fast track car. I would put a Holley HP or similar efi (ProEFI) on it with traction control in mind. No need to run stock stuff. Holley software is very user friendly.

I love slc's, how are you going to set up the gauges? I know someone put a c6 z06 cluster in theirs. Would be awesome to see someone put in a c7 cluster.

C7 gauge cluster is a possibility, though right now, was thinking of going custom. Possibily tap into the OBD2 for gauge readouts and display them on an LCD. As of right now, I just want to get the thing running, registered and have some fun with it.

-----Still wondering if the 5th Gen Camaro Wire Harness will work.

In general the harness will work but require repinning, which considering what you plan on using it for should be a given. You would probably be better just tearing down the harness you have and using it

Don't worry when we developed the tsp VVT camshafts we used the l99/l92 valve specifically because that's what VVT guys run. We can set you up with a great cam package for a very reasonable deal. Infact we can even get you a harness and help with a tune for the combo.

Also don't forget all tsp VVT camshafts come with the VVT timing tables!!

Well he's going to be running a rear motor with a transaxle, so a lot of things will need to be changed and the length of the wires probably won't be determined until everything fabricated and in place.

Okay,, here are the pictures. I had to put the shell back on to make room in the garage this weekend. Hoping to get the Fuel Tank off to welding soon for the internal fuel pump modification. BTW does anyone know how I might have this thread moved to another subject, or should I just start a new one?
