Default Need help finding the right Cam

Hey LS1 members.

Just as the title says, I'm looking for a Cam for my 5th gen camaro LS3 that can give me not only a nice idle, but some nice power and be driven on the street.

At the end of the day, I am looking to get 500+hp.

Any help would be great.

Look into ... lg motorsports, east coast supercharging, vengeance racing or custom. I no lg's g6x3 is a Garranteed 500 or very close. As far idle, anything that gives more than 30ish hp is most likely going to be choppy.

You cant go past Kip at Cam Motion, extremely knowledgeable and very friendly to deal with.

30hp should be easy even with a damn near stock idle, You have to remember that even though it's a performance based car GM still has to worry about emissions and the aftermarket does not.

I would look at Ed Curtis @ http://flowtechinduction.com/ or one of the other sponsors on here.

Thanks guys, I have checked out ECS, and even though I havent been there, they seemed professional over the phone. Not to much about them in reviews on other sites, or when I did ask about their shop noboby ever gave a response.

Ill check out the other guys.

Thanks.

FWIW...I know a corvette guy who has sent 3 of his vettes over to ECS. His latest, LS3 made 477whp NA (its a F'ing rocket!) with there "baby blower cam". No head work, just full exhaust and cam. He has z06 exhaust with the mild to wild set up, car is very very mild sounding with the exhaust closed. I would say its as loud or a less loud than any V8 with catback. Hope this helps!

we have a remarkable amount of packages for the 5th gens.
We pride our self's on the drive ability and street ability of our packages.

500+ flywheel is a super attainable # with a few mods.
This one has a very aggressive camshaft profile and is an auto car

This one has a tamer future power adder friendly camshaft profile

Default fly wheel or rear wheel?

oh 500 "fly wheel" hp... if that's the case, I wouldnt be shocked if full bolt ons could get the job done.
