2011 Iron 5.3 to 5.7 questions!
So I'll be building a buddy's turbo motor in a couple months after all the parts have been collected, as he destroyed the poor stock 5.3, but had a few questions.. It is to my understanding that 5.3's had 6.098" rods from factory, and not 6.125" like everything else it seems like. We'll be reusing his stock crank, but going to 6.125" rods and Wiseco pistons to match. From my quick little search, the 5.3 rods are shorter because of where the pin is located in the stock 5.3 Pistons, so by going to a 6.125" rods and Pistons made for a 6.125" rod, I won't have any issues, correct?
