install cam bearings with crank,rods,pistons already in?

Default install cam bearings with crank,rods,pistons already in?

can cam bearings be installed if the crank,pistons and rods are already installed? this in on a ls2.

I'm pretty sure you can not, unless there is a new way.
The way I have always done it, you have to put the bearing on the tool right in front of the
cam journal bore, you can not get the middle bearings through the outer bearing holes,
so you have to use the space where the crank sets to do that. clear as mud?
anybody have a different way?

I have done this on a LS with the oil pan off and motor on engine stand. Just drop bearing in with a magnet and set over tool and tap in place. Mark oil holes and check with a bent piece of wire to check oil hole alignment.
