Default Need help with valves on L92 heads

I have a pair of L92 heads I plan to build along with a iron 6.2. One valve is bent so I plan on replacing the valves being they are early 5364 casting and I've read about them breaking with big springs.

I have a BTR stage IV LS3 cam kit with .660 springs and titanium retainers. Would I be fine running stock hollow stem LS3 valves or should I go with Ferrea 6000 valves? I may also replace exhaust valves too. I might run a small shot later down the road.

Any suggestions? Should I just use the LS3 valves or go with the Ferrea valves? I'm going to be replacing them anyways, just want to make sure I get the right ones with no worries.

Weigh your valves to see which ones you have and compare. LS3 and L92 valves are different. Springs fail, valves seldom do.

I would talk to Brian Tooley, He'll be able to answer your questions. Here is what he had to say about LS3 hollow stems when a person found a cracked valve in a tear down.

Your lobe choice is not the best for turning the RPM that you are. You are most likely bouncing the valves off the seat. I suggest cam lobes designed for that RPM, I'll be glad to help.

I'd run the LS3 hollow stem intakes.

Just a follow up on this. I emailed Brian Tooley Racing and they suggested I just replace the intake valves with the stock LS3 hollow stem valves and I would be fine.

We recently Spintron tested the LS3 (89 gm), L92 (110 gm) and LSA (120 gm) valves with that cam and springs, the LS3 valves looked really good, the LSA valves are ugly...

Light weight is your friend when it comes to valve train.

The question was simple enough. Most all ready knew what Mr Tooley would recommend.
