what manufactures do you recommend and what to stay away from. i had diamond flat tops but need to lower my compression so looking for around -20cc. what else have people used and where did you get them.

I'm direct with CP-Carrillo, Wiseco, JE, and Manley so I like and use those the most often with results as expected for the price range that you purchase and if used for the right application.

The CP Bullet series pistons are a very nice off the shelf piston that comes with an NPR steel top ring pack, as do the Wiseco K kit pistons.

How much HP are you making? Forced Induction? Which specific engine? Stroke? Rod length? Bore size?

its a 408 motor is not built yet. but with the -2cc flats compression is going to be around 12:7 around there. i want to build it to boost it and dont want to do things all over again. while its apart i want to do it now. when i looked at diamonds it was another 200 for the steel ring. coming out to like $968. 6.125 rod with 4" stroke 4.030 bore

What's your head chamber size? I'm looking at options for you right now.

Give me a call, we can get you fixed up. We have Diamond Wiseco and Mahle in stock. If you want the Diamond i wont charge any extra for the ring set you want. Steel top napier 2nd. 749. Same for wiseco.

Great deal. IMO Diamond has the best shelf LS piston for the money.
