Big under performance on dyno
Not at all a proper cam choice if looking for 550+ HP at the wheels....

Put the thing on a Dynojet and see what it puts down. I bet it puts down "more."
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
should net 560-575rwhp on a typical DynoJet. With a past combo I've done back to back pulls from MD to Dynojet in the same town and gained 13.5% on a Dynojet.
Lots of variables with dyno numbers so track times would tell the true tale
Load cell calibration is a big variable though when it comes to comparing DJ numbers to a MD. It's nearly impossible to compare the two even when that variable is known as no two machines will usually read the same.
But still, I'd bet a dollar that his engine is a high-sight smoother that the 429 LS3 in my SS. All things considered, if a strong, smooth setup is what he wanted.....then I'd bet that he's achieved that goal.

My car now has a 239/247 low lash solid roller in a stock bottom end ls2 and it's 100% daily driveable and I'm a poor tuner. Before that I had a 230/238 cam in both a stock bottom end LS1 then the LS2 and it was also tame as can be as far as driving.
Cam is too small. Its medium/small for a stock LS3...
