Default Looking for help on cam selection

So I change my heads on my 370 to the tfs 235 58 cc, 92/102 intake port matched, 1 7/8 headers and put a 239/258 112 with center line at 107 , took it to the track and it fell short of what was expected only pick up 1 mile per hour and close to the same et as before. 118 @ 11.88 with the new set up, the old set up was same short block 1 3/4 headers, 92/92 , and prc 5.3 stage 2.5, ran 117 @ 11.80 , so I thinking the cam is the suspect.
Old cam was 236/250 115 +4

Any help would be appreciated

What was the previous cam that you had in there?

Hard to imagine all those mods only picking up 1mph, something else must be up with the new setup. That thing should run much better than that.

That exhaust is HUGE for a 370.. Bigger than I have in my 418.

Id change up the cam I have a 235/242 in my 370 ci.

TOO MUCH EXHAUST SPLIT! & Narrow LSA with TFS CATHEDRAL HEADS, Even with 200 shot. 4-6* exhaust split with good flowing
Exhaust NA, 200 shot +8-12* would be PLENTY.
235/243 mostly street, 239/251 mostly strip with
TFS 235s on a 370" LSA (112-114) ADV +3-4)
with a 200 shot.
No expert just my .02

I would have Kip @ Cam Motion, or Brian Tooley @ BTR
(who was at TFS when they designed the 235s) spec you
A cam. I am not an engine builder or mechanic. I have
A custom build going for my C5 Corvette. Been reading and
Studying about Engines along time 35+ years the LS for
The last 9, been to a couple Tony Mamo Dyno tests for
His builds, reading LS1Tech @ CF for 9 years also.
That 244/248 cam is Wrong! For a 370" better for a 418"
4" stroke would have very poor low end torque in your
Engine. Based on the mods in you're sig I'm guessing
This is a 90%+ Strip Car?
Again my .02 is 370" with TFS235s 235*-239* Intake duration
Normally Aspirated add 4-6* to the exhaust, with a 200 shot
Of N2O I would add 4-6* on top of that.
Lobe separation and advance would be better specced by the
Aforementioned cam experts.
Again that TSP Cam is all wrong for your combo IMHO.

Wrong cam w/those heads and that intake. I have experience w/the TFS235s, 416 of course. I think you are trashing hp with the 112 and long exhaust lobe.

Look at something around 239/247-114+3 or ask Martin. He has some good cam ideas for those heads.

I agree with these guys about asking the experts. I'm positive they will come up with something much better than the one you mentioned
