Default LS7 heads?

Planning on ordering me a 454 LSX standard deck and was thinking of running ported LS7 heads. A MAST single plane intake and accufab throttle body. Will i be fine with the GM LS7 heads or look into Brodix heads? Goal will be to make decent N/A numbers and see around a 300 shot later. Thanks.

Take advantage of the cubic inches, All Pro or
Mast, with those cubic inches and heads you
don't have to have such an aggressive cam to
make good numbers.

The School of Automotive Machinists put a set of GM LS7 heads on a 502ci LS2 years ago and made over 700hp at the flywheel with a really small cam. I don't think you need to spend a lot on aftermarket heads to make good numbers.

Both stock and brodix will make good numbers. I've seen a brodix ls7 heads go over the 900hp mark na. There are porters that put a nice touch on those heads.
As far as intake I would get the CID ls7 over the Mast. More plenum volume and cheaper.

Sounds like fun build. My 454 put 601 to the wheels on pump gas with unmolested MAST LS7 heads

Yeah I'm thinking stock ported LS7 heads or even some Brdix heads
