So I have a ls3/l92 that I am putting together with a stock crank, scat rods, and mahle pistons. I plan to use engine primarily for a daily driver. So I was checking the main bearing clearance with a bore gauge and micrometer and my bearing clearance is about .00175 on mains 1, 2, 4, 5, and about .00225 on main 3, but on all main bearings (1-5) I seem to have about .00075 out of round more oil clearance, this was checked from bearing parting line. I had main studs put in and torqued and checked at machine shop and by me and the main line without bearings is fine, so the out of round seems to be coming from the bearings which are king si (mb5293si). Do you think I can run bearings the way they are?

parting line is looser, so at load, the edges of the brgs don't scrape the oil off the journal.

It's normal. The ID of the bearing is supposed to be like that.

Oh ok, after doing a check today I figured I was measuring incorrectly. Anyways I re measured my main today and the numbers are
1) .00175
2) .00175
3) .00250
4) .00175
5) .00200

What do you think about the clearances, this is an aluminum block.
