Twin Turbo Holset HX35 5.3
I am so confused... been a motorhead most of my life then divorced.... twice.. with a beautiful handsome son! Building a 5.3- Been collecting parts over the years and just dropped the block off at the machine shop to have it "machined." My worry is picking out the right cam, springs .... I have the 799 heads... etc. Also the intake is off a truck since I went with the cast iron block. I guess I am just looking for some guidance and true and tried experiences. Cam, valve springs, ring gap... Should I bore it out? etc. Also do does anyone know if they have custom piping avail or am i fabricating this .... etc. Budget 1280 HP Super Chevy fan... yea no..... it takes more than that.

How much power are you looking to achieve and how mucj are you trying to spend? The block is good to around 800 hp as well as the crank. The rods and pistons should be swapped for anything over 550 hp. You will need ARP mains and rod bolts, then line bored to achieve perfect fit. For a reliable twin tirbo setup, plan on setting aside around $15 grand.
