Default Help, needle bearing needle in oilpan, not lifter or rocker

Any idea where this needle could be from, friends car and found it during oilchange. 12.5mm long and diameter 2.2mm so i thought it is from lifter, but no, all were good.

Where could it be from, no any previous lifter etc damage in engine.

Pic attached...

The only needle bearings are in the rocker arm trunnions and some lifters...I think.
Does the drain plug have a magnetic tip? He could of picked up something from the ground or shop table during last oil change if it is magnetic.

That i did say also, lenght matched needle bearings that are used on lifters. He pulled heads of and all lifters were good.

Stock rocker arm needles are .065" (1.65mm) x .247" (6.27mm).

12.5mm width would most likely be a lifter needle.

If you found lifter needles in your oil pan, I'd like to think you would hear bad things happening if the engine was running.

Good luck.
