Little more progress. Got the oil lines finalized(I hope lol). Both headers on for good. I don’t think I’m going to be able to run my Kooks y-pipe and 4” dump. So it might be for sale soon. Also got a hole in the firewall right behind where the intake will be, and a grommet installed. That’s where I’m going to run the Holley harness through.
Little more progress. Made some mounts for the IAT sensor and the MAP sensor. Got the Holley mocked up and mostly wired up. I’ve got to wire into the weird *** sensors that my throttle body uses. Both earlier model GM TPS and IAC. I’ve got to run a 0 gauge from the engine block to the battery. Need to order a alternator kit since this car didn’t come with one. Still need to do the radiator and fan. Still got to buy some fuel line to run from the y block to the rails the. To the regulator. Anyways, here’s some pics.
Holley mounted
IAT mount. You can see the old TPI IAC sensor on the side of the TB
Map sensor bracket. I’ll run a 1/4” black nylon tube from the push lock fitting on the throttle body to the map sensor.
How much does the car weigh now? I would expect a 5.60 in the 1/8!! Big cube with Big heads
If your car don't run a 5.8 to 5.9 something not right. Reason I say that it's a TFS 245 headed 416ci with the Mast Intake/cam motion solid roller running 5.8s on motor on the same compression as you.
5.80's or anything like that will not be tolerated. He's gonna do Way better than that.
Example: 408 race engine rev'ed to 8500 did a 5.70/5.80ish in a 3200 lbs Camaro. Thats around 800+ at the crank Black should be well past that in Hp and ET's. Once he gets it dialed in low 5's. Near 4 seconds hopefully. Low 8 close 7 in a 1/4 mile.
