Broken Block "Professionally Repaired"; Carnage Inside

KCS, I'd be lying if I did say I was a little surprised at your lack of due diligence with the purchase. Given you are a well informed and capable person, and I would have assumed a little more discerning; and you should have caught some of this upon initial inspection.
That being said you really have a habit of catching bad breaks that end up costing you money and time; and this is a really shitty situation to be in. I hope it works out in your favour and doesn't sour the experience of owning the car. Good luck!

It was kind of fun to take it apart and find all the goofy **** wrong with it. At least now when it all goes back together, I'll have the peace of mind that it went together the way I want it.

Kcs did you buy this car from a guy in Dallas or San Antonio? I was selling an ls3 short block recently and a guy from Dallas called me and said he put a rod through his block in his Camaro and wanted to buy the motor but he seemed really flaky so I sold it to someone else. Pretty sure it's the same guy.

He probably should have paid you to take it in all fairness...
