Just bought my first Camaro, it's a Z28 5.7 LS1. Below is a link where I posted the video of my motor. When running at idles it makes this noise. When its even warmed up it still dose it. If you give it hell it just gets louder. Some people I've talked to say it's an LS1 they all do this, what are your thoughts?

Oil pressure at idles stays at 40 and on highway it goes a little pass 40. You are saying this is normal? The car runs great, just wanted to see if this is normal and everyone else is exprening the thing.

Weak bypass spring? Good pressure at idle, but the same at speed? Maybe bad sensor/gauge?

Does the car have a T-56 or 4L60e?
I can't really tell much from the video. You might listen to the engine and around the engine with a automotive stethoscope. That can help narrow it down.
The video sounds like a noisy air check valve or loose heat shield on a cat. Or it could be a very noisy fuel injector(s).
If all else fails, might be worth pulling the valve covers and checking the rockers and for bent push rods etc.

Okay just wanted to give everyone an update. The sound I was hearing was a bad A/C compressor that was making the noise, also had a bad balancer. The oil pressure issue I was having has also been fixed, I replaced the oil sensor and oil pump. I ended up having to part out my 2002 Camaro Z28 35th anniversary due to extreme rust under the car. I ended up buying a 1998 Camaro Z28 roller with no rust. Thanks again for everyone's advice!
