OP, if you’re looking for an edge or maybe the ability to get your motor to carry a little more RPM there is a light intake valve available from MMS. It’s 95 grams vs. 124 that comes in the AFR 260, I opted for the lighter valve to try and get my motor to carry to 7500 with an LLSR From CamMotion. If I were doing it again, I’d buy bare heads and dress them up with lighter valves and different springs. The hollow stem valves from MMS are 2.17” vs the supplied heavy 2.165”. They come dressed and back cut ready to install.

The Stock intake will restrict those heads pretty bad.

alright. well car is in the shop now. hopefully ill have it by next monday. should have video and dyno chart too.

Hammer, i know you're right about the stock manifold restricting the heads. doesnt do anything past 6500.
i will run the stock intake manifold (for now) but im keeping a close eye on the L.O.D. speedworks intake to see what it does. What manifold would you use?

This guy's car had a cam only (TSP 235/239) and got 473/413. The only changes he made were porting of the stock LS3 heads and the addition of the LOD manifold. He said it was still making power when they stopped it at 524@7000+ even though it was still climbing. I would have spun it till at least 7400. But hey, it aint my car

he didnt post his first dyno chart so i cant really compare his lowish torq #s for a cam only car.

First part of the test was on a 376ci, but if you scroll down to the end, a 415ci w/AFR260 and a 247/258 113lc cam was dyno’d

I'd love to run the AFR LS3 head on my turbo motor due to the 3/4" deck, but the need for another $500 for aftermarket rockers takes it above my "ok spending" amount.

Sounds like a lot of people like the Dart LS3 head - It's only 1/2" deck but still much better than stock.

People on here had me running scared of the GMPP CNC LS3 head that is currently on my motor, but after more research there are several people making 1k with them a no issues. I'm gonna crack it up next week on the dyno and see what happens.

You can use yella terra rockers if you have the money but they come with rocker rails to be able to use the stock LS3 rockers . Im using the stock LS3 rockers.
