Default Too much blowby?

I pulled my intake off today and have quite a bit of oil residue around the head ports. I run a Mike Norris catch can on the dirty side and vent the clean side into the atmosphere. I'm running Wiseco 2618 forged Pistons (.26 top .28 bottom ring 4.070 bore Ls3)for nitrous. Car ran great just pulled the intake to get to the top bellhousing bolts. What could be causing this?

How much oil is on the floor of the intake?

Nitrous gap will allow more blow by. Keep your catch can cool and it will condense more inside of it. Either get it up front in fresh air or attach it to your ac low line.

Okay cool good to know about nitrous gap. There wasn't much inside of the intake floor, just a film. Wow I wasn't aware of that about the catch can. How exactly do you attach it to the a/c line?

Carefully. When you use the A/C (always here) the return line still gets cool in the engine bay and a aluminum can on an aluminum ac line will draw away heat. The easiest and safest is to put in in front of the radiator where fresh air blows on it. Powder coating looks nice, but holds heat.

some catch cans aren't as good at separating the oil as others.

there are guys that run pneumatic oil/liquid separators instead of a catchcan, and from what i hear, these are more effective.
